It is with a sad and heavy heart that the Kirkwood Police Department announce the passing of retired Canine Officer Dingo.
On Friday, February 3, 2017, after a short battle with Lupus,
Officer Dingo surrounded by his family and best friend, was laid to rest.
Officer Dingo worked a full Police career, retiring 10 months ago. During his career he saved countless lives and kept our community safe. In retirement he enjoyed playtime, delicious snacks, and plenty of relaxation. Eve...n during retirement, Officer Dingo took on early training of his handler's newest partner, Roscoe, helping mold him in his image.
The Kirkwood Police Department, our extended families and the Kirkwood Community have enjoyed Officer Dingo’s service and commitment to the community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Patterson and his family.
Rest well, Officer Dingo, you served well.
